2015 Evening Camp

Commonwealth Lacrosse has partnered with York County Parks, Recreation and Tourism to offer a low-cost evening camp for boys ages 8-18. The camp will be held July 6-9 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the York County Sports Complex in Yorktown, Virginia.

The camp is directed by Chris Swanenburg, a former All-Ivy goaltender at Yale University. Coach Swanenburg has 20 years of college coaching experience and has been running camps for over a decade. He is the all-time winningest coach at Division I Radford University and has 15 years of head coaching experience at the Division I and III levels. He is widely regarded as one of the top teachers in the sport and has helped produce college All-Americans and professional lacrosse players alike. Over the years, thousands of campers have learned the game and honed their skills under Coach Swanenburg.

Assisting Coach Swanenburg at the Commonwealth Lacrosse Evening Camp are some of the areas best coaches in addition to former and present NCAA college lacrosse players.

The camp is appropriate for all age-eligible boys as campers are divided by age, size and ability level and receive individual instruction with an emphasis on the development of skills and fundamentals. Position-specific coaching is provided as it relates to team concepts.

Registration for the Commonwealth Lacrosse Evening Camp is being handled by York County Parks, Recreation and Tourism. Please visit the following web pages for more information:
